14 Dead As Storms Sweep Through Fla.
Storms carrying what was believed to be the state's deadliest tornado in a decade cut a path across four central Florida counties early Friday, killing at least 14 people, damaging hundreds of homes and littering fields with clothes, furniture and splintered lumber.
Medicaid drops Houston's six stand-alone psych hospitals today
Beginning today, Houston's six stand-alone psychiatric hospitals will no longer be reimbursed by Medicaid for treating many of their mentally ill adults. Dozens of people with mental problems who now receive treatment on any given day at the facilities will have nowhere else to go because area medical hospitals don't have the beds to take them, administrators say.
Trilogy adds 42nd nursing-care facility
Trilogy Health Services' newest senior-care facility, 108-bed Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, Ind., has begun accepting residents. The campus, which provides nursing care, assisted-living services and adult day care, is Louisville-based Trilogy's 42nd facility and its 28th campus in Indiana.
